What happened to normal people who like to keep gentle animals as pets? Some people love to take a walk on the wild side and they decide to keep some very dangerous animals at home. If you’ve ever thought about taking things to the extreme you should think again because it’s not safe. I think we should look at some of the animals you might find in a few homes and gardens. All of these animals are kept as pets by people even if they have small children living at home.
Baby chimpanzees look like little children and it’s hard not to fall in love with them. Maybe you’ve dreamed of having one as a pet and there is definitely a cool factor involved, but it should remain a dream if you know what is good for you. When chimps get angry they go on the rampage and they throw things. They could even bite you because they don’t have the same moral compass as some animals, which isn’t great considering they can carry harmful diseases.
Any sane person wouldn’t dream of keeping a large cat as a pet. A lion cub looks very cute and keeping one in your home when they’re small won’t be dangerous, but eventually they will grow up and their hunting instincts will kick in. It’s no surprise some people have been killed by their pet lions and tigers even though they brought them up from a very young age. Everything might be going great then all of a sudden they will snap and you’ll be mauled to death.
There is nothing wrong with keeping snakes as pets provided you’re not scared of them, but you have to draw the line at venomous snakes. Why would you want to keep a snake with the ability to seriously harm you? If a venomous snake escaped from your home it could even put other lives at risk and it’s going to be your fault. You might decide you’re bored with keeping non-venomous snakes and a little bit of danger is appealing, but ultimately you should stay away from them.
People decide to keep wolves as pets for the same reason they want a pet lion. They get bored of their domestic counterparts and they want something a little more exciting. Just because you’re used to dogs it doesn’t mean you will enjoy having a pet wolf because they’re completely different. There are also a lot of things you need to be weary of. You’ll never be able to completely trust them and if they feel threatened they could attack. You’ll end up with a lot less people visiting your home too.
We’re starting to uncover a common trend here and it has to do with the cuteness of baby animals. Small alligators are beautiful and when they try to bite you it’s nothing more than a joke. After a while they start to get a lot bigger and the fun disappears when they’re too big to pet. You end up with a dangerous animal in your garden that could strike out at any moment. America alligators can kill cattle, so don’t think they wouldn’t be able to kill you in an instant.
It’s Not worth it
You can’t brag to your friends about having a pet turtle or hamster, but at least you won’t end up being eaten alive. Domesticated animals can sometimes hurt their owners, but that isn’t an excuse to risk your live for an animal who should be in the wild or in a zoo. If you want to stay on the safe side you should definitely stick to cats and dogs.
