There are plenty of great jobs out there, and if you like animals you might want to consider a career working with them. You could be a veterinarian or a trainer, but you could also get involved with something more exotic, like being a dog whisperer.
Some people do this sort of thing through their intuition, others do it through logic. It’s more than just being a standard veterinarian, but it’s less than the ‘pet psychic‘ shows you see on TV sometimes.
It’s being able to use both logic and intuition to some degree, in order to help determine what might be wrong with a dog, what it’s feeling, and how to help it in the best way possible. For people who worry about their dog’s health, a dog whisperer can be just the right person to help them. If you want this job, here are some things to consider.
● You must be willing to use your intuition. Everyone has it, but some people use it much more strongly than others. Some people also feel it much more strongly, while others don’t notice it nearly as much.
If you’re in the group that doesn’t notice it, it’s important that you work on that. You can find ways to locate and exercise the intuitive skills that you have. You may want to do that on your own, or you may even want to take a few classes on things like intuition, psychic ability, or spirituality.
● Going to school is important. Even if you don’t plan to work as a veterinarian in the standard way, you’ll want to go to a good veterinary school. Look for one of the top schools, if possible.
Of course, your budget will matter and you might not be able to go to one of the best (and, therefore, most expensive) schools in the country. If you aren’t able to do that, at least make certain that you go to a school that is respected and accredited for veterinary medicine.
● As you progress, be willing to recognize your talents and abilities – and the ones you don’t have, as well. Not everyone is good at the same kinds of things. You may do better with larger dogs instead of smaller ones, or you may find that you are good at addressing certain issues, but not other ones.
It’s important to see that, so you don’t push yourself beyond your limits and end up with unhappy clients. Know the limits you have, and do the things within them as well as you can.
Being a dog whisperer can seem like an exotic and exciting job. It can be, in some circumstances. Other times, it’s more routine. No matter what you do for a living, if you do it long enough and often enough it becomes a job.
You want to be good at your job, but you also want to enjoy it and take it seriously. Keep that in mind when you’re considering becoming a dog whisperer. If you have a real passion for it, you can do it well and enjoy it for a long time.
